What YA books to movies are you most excited to see?

About Lisa Parkin

I'm a hardcore lover of young adult fiction and have been reviewing books since 2011. Other interests include Downton Abbey, heat lightning storms, Harry Potter land and (begrudingly) one orange tabby.
  • Sugar & Snark

What in the world are they going to put in 2 movies of Allegiant?
Great list! Thanks for sharing 🙂

  • I am SO EXCITED about Miss Peregrine’s Home and 5th Wave. I love those books!! I really can’t believe they are splitting Allegiant into two parts. Craziness.

  • Nashly Suarez

I’m looking forward to Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children. It’s one of my fave books and my fave director of all time directed it. It’s going to be magnificent. Oh, and also looking forward to A Monster Calls. That book was so good but heart breaking. Liam Neeson as the monster, hells yess! And it comes out 2 days after my birthday, I’m so so excited.
~The Merciless by Danielle Vega, Vicious by V.E. Shwab, and Ready Player One by Ernest Cline (also directed by Steven Spielberg) will also be made into movies. Ready Player One however, won’t release til Dec 2017. I’m really excited for that one.

So excited to see 5th Wave. Great list!

  • Beth

Crap, now I have to hurry up and read The 5th Wave, A Monster Calls, and Let It Snow! 😉
I’m pretty stoked to see a Patrick Ness book become a movie (and with that cast!). They need to do a movie or miniseries of the Chaos Walking trilogy!

  • Great list! I’m looking forward to “Fantastic Beast…” and “Allegiant.” I’m also thrilled to see “The 5th Wave.” My book club selected it for this month’s read, and I’m enjoying it. It will be interesting to see it onscreen.

  • Amy Melville

    AHH 5th Wave!!!! So Excited!!!!

  • Veronica

Artemis Fowl is (reportedly) being made into a movie too!

  • Cassie Del Socorro Casio

can’t wait for Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children and the 5th Wave!!
    I love these books!

  • alva

Is Legend even going to become a movie anymore? It’s been almost 3 years since the adaption was announced….

  • Maggie

John Green only wrote PART of Let it Snow, and to be honest as much as I love John Green, his part was the worst part in it. Please for the love of all things booky give credit to all the authors. Which are Maureen Johnson and Lauren Myracle in addition to John Green.

  • Trisha

I’m dying for LEGEND to be released. Wish we could get confirmation!!
