A Novel Accessory: Twilight

“A Novel Accessory” is an original RBR feature that will highlight bookish jewelry, shirts and other accessories. It’s my way of combining two loves- books and Etsy! WARNING! This post may induce a shopping frenzy. Please place all credit cards away from your person at this time.

Maybe it’s because the movie’s coming out in a few short months (November!!) or maybe it’s because I knew that Etsy would have some wonderfully awful Edward/Bella-inspired items that I chose a “Twilight” theme for today’s post.

To be honest, it was difficult to take a lot of these “Twilight-inspired” pieces seriously. I mean, there’s only so many Edward heart pendants you can see without rolling your eyes a little.

I’m not sure how this stuff will compare the Hunger Games jewelry I found, but let’s take a look, shall we? 😀

Note: All titles lead directly to the Etsy seller

I hope you enjoyed the second ever “A Novel Accessory” post! I am having waaaay to much fun finding these items. I’m seriously thinking about getting those Edward earrings- they’re funky and silly and right up my alley. Hmmmm….

What Twilight jewelry or other accessories would you actually wear (in broad daylight)?

I have a charm bracelet that I bought from ebay that has a crystal heart and a wooden wolf. Its actually quite cute because its simple and not over the top.

hahahah, I want to win $10 by wearing that rose hair clip in public. I’ve worn my Team Edward t-shirt a few times before with shame, but determination.

I still can’t get over how ugly that ring is, lol. This one is silver and Bella’s is gold so it’s not completely legit. But, oh well. :)

I love finding jewelry inspired by books. I have some Harry Potter stuff and I just bought a necklace inspired by Sam from Maggie Stiefvater’s Wolves of Mercy Falls trilogy.

I’m so happy you are doing this feature regularly! I actually like the book page earrings and the charm bracelet but I’ll let you have those Edward earrings. Yeah Lisa, those are all yours :-)

Oh man those cookies look good!

I have to admit, I burst out laughing when I saw that engagement ring in the movie. I know it’s supposed to be old-fashioned because it belonged to Edwards’s mother, but I didn’t expect it to be so obnoxiously large :O

They really do!! I DEF agree with you about the ring. It’s not really my style and it wasn’t how I imagined it from the book at all! Oh well…

I have to admit, I find these ones kind of disturbing. Of course, I’m a Twilight hater, so it figures. But I would totally rock the vampire fangs necklace. That, I would do.

I love the idea of making earrings out of book pages. This could be done for any favorite read! So cute! Also, I’m a new follower—wonderful blog! Stop by my blog and follow me too? :) http://rachelbrookswrites.blogspot.com/
