Blog News: Guest Post at Grasping for the Wind

So far, my Monday is off to a great start! I hope everyone else’s is too!

The reason I’m pretty stoked is because I’ve had some awesome opportunities to guest post recently. I’m now officially writing a monthly article for Grasping for the Wind- a news/review science fiction & fantasy blog. My first article was published on the site Saturday and is titled “Emerging Trends in YA.” You can find itΒ here.

Abandon by Meg Cabot- one of the books I mentioned under the Greek mythology trend.

Suvudu.com even picked up the article in their Suvudu Likes post.

In the article, I talk about the hottest trends in YA this year (so far)- Dystopian, Greek mythology and Steampunk- and list a bunch of awesome books in all of those sub-genres.

I have another great opportunity to guest post next week (the 11th) so stayed tuned for that info!

I’m know this is no biggie for many experienced bloggers, but I’m still pretty much a noob. I’ve technically been blogging since October 2009, but I honestly didn’t invest too much time in actually blogging in the beginning (1-2 posts a week) and missed out on opportunities to connect with readers and other bloggers. I’ve really only been blogging “hardcore” since March of this year!

For everyone out there who follows, thank you so much! You’re awesome, and I’m excited to share this crazy blogging journey with you!

Coming up later this week:

– Poll: Pick the books I’ll read on vacation

– Hot off the Press: April and May releases

– State of the Mewnion update and much more! πŸ˜€

What has your experience been guest posting? Good, bad, ugly?
