Book Sale and Art Festival

Although Florida weather mainly consists of sun and cloudless skys, this does not mean I always want to be outdoors. My main reason is= I. Hate. Sweating. A LOT. Sadly, sweating is just a part of everyday life here.

During the summer, simply walking outside for a second will ensure that my nicely straightened hair will be completely soaked and that my shirt will instantly suction itself to my back. Gross but true. :/

Today, however, Tim and I made an exception and traveled to outdoor art festival! Although I was looking forward to checking out the amazing art and jewelry pieces, I was mostly excited to visit the Library Book Sale- especially since my local Borders closed recently.

Once a year, the library adjacent to the festival area has a massive sale, with magazines and books from all genres selling from 50 cents to a $1. Now that is a deal!!

Here we go…

Entering the cave of wonders...

Outside there were mostly magazines. As you see the selection was limited. 😉

Blue tags = 50 cents. Sadly, I had to break a $20 to purchase a book due to my chronic lack of change…typical.

Beardie (my hubs) and I scoping out the hidden treasures.

I found some interesting reads in the Fantasy/SciFi section…

Fiction? I’m thinking yes. :) A story featuring Meow Meow!!

The art vendors were located right by a gorgeous (and thankfully breezy) lake!

And, what lake would be complete without wildlife?

Not for sale

All in all, it was a fun, beautiful day! And guess what? I didn’t even sweat that much! :)

What are some unlikely places that you’ve found book deals?

PLUS! Don’t forget there’s only TWO more days to enter my Wither giveaway!!

I am a chronic book hoarder so I buy books like crazy. My favorite places are garage sales, but I once found a few books for sale on a table outside a fish market in a little seaside town. I loved the books, but they always smelled a little fishy! lol

Kaycee, thanks for stopping by! :) Garage sales are awesome places to find books!! Hmm, cheap books vs. fishy smell. lol That’s a tough call for sure! haha

“Libr Aryboo Ksale” Is that a Latin phrase? LOL

The [terrific] story @Kaycee related sounds, to me, like A FISH TALE.

I absolutely CANNOT wait for the local library to have a sale. I have not been to a library sale in … oh about 3 years. Sad right?
