Rae Carson

rae carson new book 2014New Title: Currently “Untitled,” but the series is called The Goldenscryer Saga

What’s it About?: The only details in the description say the book is “a sweeping and romantic fantasy that follows a teenage girl whose magical ability to find gold puts her in a dangerous position during the American Gold Rush.” Let’s be real. I’d read ANYTHING by Carson.

Pub date: 2014 (not specified)

Rainbow Rowell

landline rainbow rowell new bookNew Book: Landline

What’s it About?: In this adult book, Rowell explores a situation where Georgie, a mom in over her head, can user her landline phone to talk to her husband in the past. Interesting premise! Plus, I’d like to read her adult genre work.

Julie Kagawa

talon by julie kagawaNew Book: Talon

Marissa Meyer

marissa-meyerNew Book: Heartless

About Lisa Parkin

I'm a hardcore lover of young adult fiction and have been reviewing books since 2011. Other interests include Downton Abbey, heat lightning storms, Harry Potter land and (begrudingly) one orange tabby.

Definitely just added 3 of those books to my TBR shelf :)

GOOD! It’s all part of my evil plan… ;)

Love this new original feature. Holly Black is my favorite author and I can’t wait for her new book!!!!

Thanks, Stephanie!!! YES a million times to that. I will always read everything she writes. What’s your favorite from her?

      • Stephanie

The first thing I’ve ever read by Holly Black is the Curse Workers and it remains one of my favorite series. But my favorite book by her (and possibly anyone) is The Coldest Girl In Coldtown. I mean Gavriel is just about the most interesting character I’ve ever read!

  • Kayla @ The Thousand Lives

Goodreads isn’t working for me right now (I think the website’s down), but I’ll have to remember to add Heartless to my TBR! Thanks for the news – I’d never have known about it otherwise!
