Movies and Books Set in New York

There are probably a million movies and books set in New York City. It’s probably more like 2 million. Insane numbers!!

Considering I just went there on vacation, I thought we could talk about our favorite books and movies that take place in the Big Apple!!

FYI: In my rush to schedule posts before my trip, I may have failed to mention where and what I was doing on vacation. Not that you necessarily care, but I realized I didn’t really say much other than- hey, I’m going to be gone for a few days. Oops! 🙂

I just took a mini-vacation with my hubs to the bustling, cold city of New York. Highlights: Seeing a filming of Jimmy Fallon, eating frozen hot chocolate at Serendipity and watching the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall.

Anywho, back to the post…

About Lisa Parkin

I'm a hardcore lover of young adult fiction and have been reviewing books since 2011. Other interests include Downton Abbey, heat lightning storms, Harry Potter land and (begrudingly) one orange tabby.
  • Oh goodness, I could talk forever about this topic, lol!! I have a page on my blog devoted to NYC books: http://www.takemeawayreading.com/p/new-york-shelf.html
I am obsessed with nyc for real. Our last trip there was unfortunately a year ago, but it sounds so much like yours! We went to to Jimmy Fallon, saw the rockettes, and of course went to Serendipity as well, LOL. For movies, I love Serendipity, Devil Wears Prada, Elf. For books I’d say A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, Girl in Translation, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close (all three I consider my favorite books, lol). Dash and Lily’s Book of Dares is a really cute Christmastime nyc book.
