Woo hoo! Happy Friday everyone! There are some seriously exciting things coming up this weekend (which I’ll share about in more detail early next week), so I’m super pumped it’s almost the weekend!!

In case you missed it, here’s what’s happened at Read.Breathe.Relax this week:

Book Review: The Iron Witch

Waiting on Wednesday: The Mephisto Covenant

Top Ten Tuesday: Mean Girls (my fav meme of the week)

Kindle & Accessories

Easter Bunny Cake

Today’s Question: Keeping with the dystopian and apocalypse theme that seems to be running rampant on parajunkee, I have one very hard question for you: If you were stocking your bomb shelter, what books would you HAVE to include if you only had space for ten?

My Answer: This is the toughest FF question yet! A little while ago, I talked about which 5 books I would grab from a fire back in March, but for a bomb shelter the answers might be a little different. Escaping from a fire, I would need some essentials and then hop right out. But for a bomb shelter stay, I’d need books with re-read appeal.

For my extended bomb shelter stay, I’d pick the following:

  • My Kindle (which can hold 3500 books)…

Ok, ok, that’s cheating. My real answers are:

  • My Bible
  • All 7 Harry Potters
  • Pride and Prejudice
  • The Name of the Wind + The Wise’s Man Fear omnibus (which may or may not exist 😉 )

I know I could stand to read these books over and over for a year or so. I also apparently can’t seem to follow the rules at all. Oops…

What are your bomb shelter book picks?

About Lisa Parkin

I'm a hardcore lover of young adult fiction and have been reviewing books since 2011. Other interests include Downton Abbey, heat lightning storms, Harry Potter land and (begrudingly) one orange tabby.

Nice choices! You’re the second person to pick Pride and Prejudice…that I’ve seen so far, I bet there are more. Hmmm…perhaps I should add that one too! LOL

    Here are mine :-)

Interesting selection – I still haven’t thought of what I would take with me yet, may a big set of encyclopaedia’s :)

    HP is a good choice!

I would have a large stack of books, with The Holy Bible on top.
Don’t you think an appropriate book to take in the shelter would be “Fareheit 451″?

Thanks for stopping by earlier today! Yes I have seen the new Jane Eyre movie, and I loved it! At first when it started I was little worried because I thought they were going to leave a huge chunk of the book out, but I thought that it turned out to be a very close book adaption– I loved the actress who played Jane, she was just so perfect for that part I think.

Hope you have a great weekend!
