My Top Ten Most Read Authors

This has been an eye-opening post, lemme tell you.

My Top Ten Most Read Authors

my top ten most read authors

1. Juliet Marillier– Wow. I can’t believe this is true, but I’ve read 10 of her books! More than J.K. Rowling – how is that possible? I have loved every one.

2. Maria V. Snyder– 9 books!!! Love this author. She’s an auto-buy for SURE.

3. Sharon Shinn– I’ve read 8 Shinn books. The Twelve Houses books and Elemental Blessings. Delicious and addicting fantasy.

4. J.K. Rowling– The 7 best books of my life!

5. Holly Black– Between The Curse Worker series and The Darkest Part of the Forest and all her others, I’m obsessed with everything she does. I mean, even her short story in the My True Love Gave to Me was fairy-esque and magical.

6. Sarah Dessen– I’ve been reading Sarah Dessen since middle school, and I love how her work has grown and progressed. One of my favorites of hers is The Truth About Forever. I’ve read 6 of her books total.

7. Kasie West– Mah girl, Kasie. I’ve read all 5 of her books and plan to read every single future one!

8. Sarah J. Maas– Same goes for Maas. She’s only written 4 books, but I know I will devour the rest of the Throne of Glass books PLUS her A Court of Thorns and Roses ones too.

9. Rae Carson– I’m a fan of Carson’s for life. I can’t wait for Walk On Earth a Stranger to come out – I’ve read it and my review is to come shortly!

10. Miranda Kenneally– I’ve consumed her Hundred Oaks series (4), but I haven’t even gone through them all. #ReadingGoals

About Lisa Parkin

I'm a hardcore lover of young adult fiction and have been reviewing books since 2011. Other interests include Downton Abbey, heat lightning storms, Harry Potter land and (begrudingly) one orange tabby.

I’d just like to say how completely envious I am of your list. Those are some of my favorite authors, but not ones I’ve read a lot of! Yet. 😀

  • AnneBennett

I just got the last two Miranda Keneally novels for my library. I can’t keep up on all the popular series. Glad to know you like them.

J.K. Rowling is on my list too, as well as Rick Riordan, Danielle Steel, Nicholas Sparks, Tonya Kappes, and Melissa Foster. I’d love to read more John Green. I’ve only started reading his books this year, and have read three so far.

  • Ann-Sofie

I just read some of your reviews and other posts and I really think you should read “The Night Circus” by Erin Morgenstern.

Great list! I have actually never read a Sarah Dressen book. Crazy, right? I am currently making my way through the Hundred Oaks series. I love it.

  • Chat Ebooks

Great list, although there are a few I haven’t read any of their works yet. These days, I’m leaning towards YA fiction. I wrote an article about some of my favorites. Hope you can take the time to read it. Here’s the link: https://www.chatebooks.com/blog-young-adult-fiction-most-fascinating-authors. Thanks!
