New RBR Feature: Backshelf Book Reviews, In Which I Read Books You’ve Been Meaning To

New year, new features. We need to shake it up here every once and awhile!

Which is why I’m introducing this new feature that involves YOUR input!

New RBR Feature: Backshelf Book Reviews

I don’t think I’m alone when I say my TBR is a collection of books I have varying levels of dedication of actually reading. Because this is a largely universal problem, I wanted to see if I could help.

My new feature, Backshelf Book Reviews, will ask YOU my lovely readers what books you’ve been meaning to read for like EVER but never have. Then I will read that book for you and report back on whether you should bother giving that book your time.

Sound good?!

I plan on doing this every other month – or more frequently depending – and with different types of books like classics, hyped titles, bad-reviews-put-me-off, etc. (I’m open to suggestions, too!)

For our first one, let’s keep it simple:

YA Books Pre-2014

This can be contemporary or fantasy/scifi! The only rule is that it has to have been published before last year.

For this to work, please do these things:

1. Comment below with your suggestion
2. Upvote others’ suggestions you like too (the little up arrow under the comment text)
3. Spread the word!

So tell me, what book published before 2014 have you been meaning to read and haven’t and want ME to read instead?!

About Lisa Parkin

I'm a hardcore lover of young adult fiction and have been reviewing books since 2011. Other interests include Downton Abbey, heat lightning storms, Harry Potter land and (begrudingly) one orange tabby.
