YOU GUYS!!! Read. Breathe. Relax. is two years old!! How did that happen?! I can’t believe this blog has been around that long!

I’m not gonna lie – this blog is something I take a lot of pride in, and I can’t believe I’ve been doing it for this long. What all started out as a side project to keep me busy while I was unemployed (..oh, memories!) has become something that I love and can’t imagine not doing.

Read. Breathe. Relax. – Terrible Twos

From what I hear, terrible twos are no joke. So, get ready for a CRAZY year. I’ve got some tricks up my sleeve, and I hope you stick around for the all the action and excitement and THE BOOKS!

Big things that happened this year on the blog:

I attended BEA last June!

BEA was so legit, so…I’m going again this year! Authors and publishers, don’t stop me now. The only thing better than going to BEA again will be going with my real life friend and long distance pen pal, Jen!

You know I’ll be bringing you guys back some books, though.

I realized that blogging is still one my biggest passions!

I’m a writing fiend. I don’t get to write as much in my day job as I would like, BUT that’s ok because I do it here. Having an outlet to talk about books (which I love) with people who love books as much as me (you crazies) is amazing!

Yet, I still got a little burned out at the end of last year!

If you look at November and December 2012, you can see that I blogged less than 20 times each those months. Normally at least 20 is what I aim for, so I really missed the mark those months.

I think I got a bit burned out for a variety of reasons. One was that it was hardcore holiday time, and I was really focused on family and traveling. Another is that after blogging for this long, sometimes coming up with new fresh ideas is really, really tough.

It takes a lot of brainstorming and pondering to think of topics and blogs that I think will interest you guys (I hope I have so far).

But, seriously, I put all the pressure on myself. I love being creative, so it’s my own fault that I just want this blog to be the best ever. And, I always hope that I’m pushing it to improve and grow.

Cheesy but true: you guys totally make this worth it.

To everyone who reads what I write: thank you! I’m not always sure why you stick around, but I really appreciate that you do. If it wasn’t for you, blogging would be 9038402398409328 times less fun and enjoyable. YOU ROCK.

Oh, and no big deal…but I’ll be giving away copies of Requiem later this week as a thank you. Just thought I’d slip that in there.
