In My Mailbox: In Which You See Me in Real Life

After thinking about it for awhile, I’ve finally decided to produce (I use that word loosely) my first In My Mailbox video!

Random things to know before watching:

  1. I’ve only had my bangs for 2 weeks (which means I still look like a stranger to myself)
  2. I made a teensy mistake editing the video – see if you can catch it!!
  3. Making this video made me realize how much I want to meet all of YOU in real life. So let’s make a date, ok? :)

In My Mailbox is a book blog meme created by The Story Siren. Check it out here!

Books Mentioned in the Video

Thank you to all the publishers for sending me these awesome books!

Also, in case you were wondering – yes, my cat’s name is really Meow Meow. And yes, he is just as grumpy as he appears on camera. Only worse.

What books have you gotten in your mailbox this week?

Waiting on Wednesday: The Nightmare Garden by Caitlin Kittredge

After a serious cliffhanger in The Iron Thorn, the first in the series, I’m ready for The Nightmare Garden!

Title & Author: The Nightmare Garden by Caitlin Kittredge

Genre: YA- Steampunk

Publication Date: February 14, 2012

Description: “Everything Aoife thought she knew about the world was a lie. There is no Necrovirus. And Aoife isn’t going to succumb to madness because of a latent strain—she will lose her faculties because she is allergic to iron. Aoife isn’t human. She is a changeling—half human and half from the land of Thorn. And time is running out for her.

When Aoife destroyed the Lovecraft engine she released the monsters from the Thorn Lands into the Iron Lands and now she must find a way to seal the gates and reverse the destruction she’s ravaged on the world that’s about to poison her.”

Why I’m Stoked: I really enjoyed The Iron Thorn- in fact, it was one of the first steampunk books I ever read! I’m really interested to read about the Thorn Lands and Aoife’s new adventures. Especially if they involve a certain love interest… :)

What books are you waiting for? Any steampunk books like The Nightmare Garden?
