LITERAL Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Video

If you couldn’t tell by now, I’m a fan of randomness. And Harry Potter. So when the two are merged together for hilariousness in the form of a Harry Potter video, I’m game.

Will You Read J.K. Rowling’s New Book?

As many of you might have heard, J.K. Rowling is writing a new book! She tweeted about it this past Friday.

J.K. Rowling tweet

According to her and her new publisher, Litte Brown, the book will be very different than her Harry Potter series and is geared toward an adult audience.

My question to you is: Will you read it? And, if so, what are your expectations?. There are some rumors that her newest book will be a crime thriller set in Edinburgh. What do you think of that?!

Personally, I think it’s tough on J.K. Rowling all around. There are so many high expectations after her blockbuster series. I’m not one to read a ton of crime thrillers, but I will drop everything to read anything else J.K. ever writes!

Please share your thoughts/reactions in the comments! :)

Harry Potter Bands – Wizard Rock

Did you know there was such a thing “Wizard Rock?”

It’s defined as: “rock music that evolved after the famous Harry Potter movies starting in 2002. The Genre is known for bands performing humorous songs about the mega famous Harry Potter movie series. Wizard rock (also known as Wrock) was conceived and cultivated in Massachusetts a group named “HARRY AND THE POTTERS BAND.”

My first thought was why haven’t I heard about wizard rock before now???

wizard rock harry potter bands

I am IN LOVE with these harry potter boy bands. It’s such a crazy idea that it actually works. I seriously almost peed myself when I first played these Wizard Rock songs because:

1. They actually sound pretty ok (some are better than others)

2. The songs are catchy and hilarious

3. It’s so nerdy it’s cute

Here they are a few for your viewing pleasure:

Am I the only one just finding out about this?! Do you listen to any other Harry Potter bands or Wizard Rock?

Harry Potter Complete Film Collection Deal

Right now on Amazon, you can get the Harry Potter Complete Film Collection (all 8 movies) for $48.99!!! Normally it’s $98, so that is a serious deal! I’m not sure how long it’ll be this cheap, but I would jump on that, for reals.

There are so many reasons to love Harry Potter, I just can’t name them all.

Top Ten Books I Want To Give As Gifts

I haven’t done a Top Ten Tuesday post in awhile, and I’m extra excited to talk about giving books as gifts. I LOVE buying presents!

Ten Books I Want to Give As Gifts

harry potter boxed set books i would give as gifts

1 The Complete Harry Potter set — If you can believe it, there are sad people out in this world who haven’t read Harry Potter yet. It’s a shame and something I hope to personally correct. Also, if you EVER ever buy the HP boxed set, please be sure to get the crazy chest/trunk/whatever thingy it comes in!!

2Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi— I’m about to review this book this Thursday, and let me tell you- it’s made my ALL-TIME fave books list. I loved the mix of science fiction and fantasy. And not to mention- the romance is killerrrrr!!!

3Storm Glass by Maria V. Snyder— A lot of people know Snyder’s Poison Study series, but not enough know about her Glass series. They are fantastic books and dare I say, BETTER than her first books!

4Incarnate by Jodi Meadows— This is another book that absolutely stunned me. I NEED other people to read this book not just because it’ll make them fall in love with it…but also because I need to talk to someone about this super interesting story. Totally unselfish, right? ;)

5Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen- I don’t know if it’s just me, but I love reading super romantic books around the holidays. Maybe it’s the holiday spirit or something…? Anyway, I would love to gift someone with this amazing love story!

6Matched by Ally Condie— I’m probably the last person in the world who hadn’t read this book. BUT, all that’s changed. I’d like to change the life of another amazing person by sharing with the shock, longing and crazy encompassed in Matched. Cuz nothing says Christmas like crazy.

7The Chronicles of Naria by C.S. Lewis— What the heck- let’s make this one the boxed set too. I would love to give these books to grade or middle schoolers cuz I think every kid needs to read this awesome series.

8Eragon by Christopher Paolini— Despite the less than wonderful reviews about Inheritance, Eragon is definitely worth-reading. One lucky soul would receive this fantastic book and get to read the subsequent sequels without the years and years (and years) of waiting.

9Divergent by Veronica Roth— I really tried not to list this one because, well…I’ve listed it everywhere. But for all those diehard Hunger Games fans who are pining for a good book, I had to do it.

10Little Women by Louisa May Alcott— Nothing says the holidays and giving like Little Women. I loved this book growing up and want to give this book to myself (I don’t have a copy anymore). I’d even read it aloud to my hubs…to his ultimate enjoyment, I”m sure. :)

To change this up a little, what books would you NOT give as gifts?
