On this lazy Sunday, I am enthralled with this Anna Karenina movie trailer.
The movie will be released November 9 2012 and is starring Keira Knightley and Jude Law. Need I say more?

I wanted to see Snow White and The Huntsman ever since I saw previews for it in The Hunger Games premiere. Seeing Charlize Theron wreacking havoc on the world, especially Kristen Stewart…I mean Snow White…really appealed to me.
I finally saw it this weekend with the hubs, and thought it was both good and bad at the same time.
As a Snow White retelling, you probably already know the basic plot of the movie. Snow White is trapped by the evil queen, Ravenna, after Ravenna kills her dad on their wedding night. Charlize doesn’t mess around (literally).
Moving on to parts of the movie you DON’T already know…The writers of this movie definitely didn’t follow the classic Snow White tale – they of course embellished it with a mixed up chronology and added in more background to Ravenna’s (the most attractive person in the movie) story.
I both liked and disliked this messing around with the classic children’s tale. But, when you add in all the special effects, it really made for a stunning film.
There’s a quasi-love triangle for about 5 seconds in the movie, which is dispelled quickly. Sadly, the relationship that survives is disappointing in its watered down, inconsistent state. *Sigh.*
I loved the special effects and the new take on one of my favorite fairy tales. I didn’t like the awkward performance by Kristen Stewart and the lame romance that is supposed to be key to this story.
If only Snow White had done a little bit more of this in the movie…
I just got out of seeing the Breaking Dawn movie premiere!! I don’t know how coherent I’m going to be at 3 a.m., but here goes nothing.
You know that I didn’t have too many expectations, so here are my thoughts about the movie:
Two Warnings-
The rest of the movie-
One thing I will mention is the lack of a serious plot. Breaking Dawn revolves a few major events that have little to no action (and I don’t mean pushing out a vampire baby…). The main things that happened were 1. Bella and Edward’s wedding (very, very long) 2. Edward and Bella’s honeymoon (way too long) and 3. Bella’s pregnancy (looking like a skeleton, hunching over in pain and being ripped open by her offspring).
Oh, there was also wolf pack drama, but it was sort of silly. When pack communicates in their werewolf form, it’s just sort of funny. Or so my sleep-deprived mind thought at the time…
Breaking Dawn was so random at times- I honestly don’t think I’ve formed an full option yet…but that may be because my brain is firing on all cylinders right now.
I’m definitely interesting in seeing the second part!
Oh…did I mention that the showed The Hunger Games trailer in the theater?!?! Pretty amazing!

UPDATE: Check out my night-of Breaking Dawn movie review here!!
Due to my temporary lack of sanity, I bought tickets to see the Breaking Dawn midnight premiere. Because my lack of sanity became an epidemic, I also decided to share my thoughts and reactions to the movie immediately after I got home.
At 3 a.m. Yeah. Because I’m going to be channeling my mind and body to 1. stay awake that long and 2. actually try to write coherently, I’m not going to post anything today. (…except this post
)
Is it bad that I’m more excited about The Hunger Games movie trailer than about the Breaking Dawn premiere? Haha!
See you early Friday morning!
P.S. Don’t forget to enter the LAST day of the Inheritance giveaway!
P.S.S. I heard the birthing scene in Breaking Dawn is 20 minutes long…
It’s confession time at RBR: I’m going to see the Breaking Dawn movie at midnight on November 17. The tickets have been bought and soon the Twilight jewelry will be too.
I’ve actually gone to ALL of the Twilight movie midnight premieres. Sad but true.
They’re actually a ton of fun. Sitting back and gabbing with your friends while watching the dressed up Bellas, Edwards and Jacobs walk by is just plain entertaining.
Not everyone is as pumped to see this movie (myself included), so I wanted to pose a few questions to you.
1.For those of you who have decided to see Breaking Dawn (midnight or otherwise)- what are your expectations for the movie?
Honestly, mine aren’t extraordinarily high for the simple reason that this book was my least favorite in the series. Maybe it’s more accurate to say I don’t really have many expectations.
2. What scene are you most looking forward to seeing?
For me, it’s definitely the wedding! It’s a year and a half since my own, and I’m still obsessed with all the little details. I don’t think it’ll be in this movie, but I also can’t wait to see Bella’s big and long-awaited change.
3. Is there anything you’re not looking forward to seeing in Breaking Dawn?
Where to begin…the birthing scene is number one on this list, along with seeing Jacob go through agony watching Bella get married and fight off monster-baby pregnancy! Oh yeah…and him imprinting on an infant…
4. How do you think Breaking Dawn will compare to the others?
I really enjoyed Eclipse a lot and Twilight will always be amazingly awkward and funny just because it was the first movie. I really wonder about this one!
Any other Breaking Dawn thoughts/observations?
