TGIF: Festive Halloween Books

TGIF is a blog meme started by GReadsBooks.com! This feature re-caps the week’s posts and propose a question for followers.

TGIF Question: Spooktacular Reads: Which books do you consider festive Halloween reads? Which stories have chilled you to the bone?

Answer: As I’ve said a bunch of times at RBR, I cannot handle really scary things (even though I ask people what happens in scary books/movies because I’m curious stupid like that.) So, don’t be surprised that this list is super short.

Festive Halloween Books

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin

I JUST reviewed this book yesterday, and it’s so creepy and suspenseful and amazing!! I found myself having to read a different book after this one just to not feel so on edge before going to sleep!

The Restorer

The Restorer by Amanda Stevens.

This book is about graveyards…nuff said, right? Oh, and murder. I was wishing I’d never opened up this book! Agh!

What other festive Halloween books have you read or would recommend to others that totally freaked you out?!

About Lisa Parkin

I'm a hardcore lover of young adult fiction and have been reviewing books since 2011. Other interests include Downton Abbey, heat lightning storms, Harry Potter land and (begrudingly) one orange tabby.
  • Don’t feel bad, I can’t handle creepy either. Especially when it’s something that COULD happen?! Oh man.. even worse!

I’ve seen a lot of people review the unbecoming.. I’d like to check it out now! The Restorer looked awesome as well!

I really really want to read The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer. Hopefully I get a chance to soon!

The Unbecoming is a good choice! I just finished Rosemary’s Baby and THAT was an awesome Halloween read! I agree with the creepy stuff too. So tough to sleep afterwards!
