Top 10 Books I Wouldn’t Mind Santa Leaving Under My Tree This Year

fantastic beasts and where to find them movie

1. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them– I surprisingly don’t own this book! I thought it was kind of lame when it came out. It was leftover rage from realizing there wouldn’t be an 8th book. But now with the movie coming out next year, I better catch up!

2. Wildwood Dancing– As a HUGE fan of Juliet Marillier, it’s a CRIME I haven’t read this book by her!

3. The Sky Is Everywhere– Jandy Nelsen 4 Life.

4. The Wes Anderson Collection– I love Wes Anderson movies, so I’d love this fun assortment of behind-the-scenes photos and artwork.

5. The Summer I Turned Pretty– It’s my goal to read everything Jenny Han has ever written. Starting here seems to make sense.

6. The Puffin in Bloom set– Anna Bond from Rifle Paper Co. is a personal hero to me, and I would love to have these classics with her re-done covers. Gorgeous! It would make a great gift for any book lover.

7. Eon– I’m a new fan of Allison Goodman’s and am somehow super late to the party. Eon was published in 2010, and I need to catch up!

8. Looking For Alaska– I know, I know! I haven’t read this one by John Green. GAH.

9. Thirteen Reasons Why– This is becoming a Netflix mini-series and I need to finally read this one too.

10. Shut Out– I think the premise of this one sounds interesting, and I was a huge fan of The DUFF by Kody Keplinger.

What books are you hoping Santa will bring you??

About Lisa Parkin

I'm a hardcore lover of young adult fiction and have been reviewing books since 2011. Other interests include Downton Abbey, heat lightning storms, Harry Potter land and (begrudingly) one orange tabby.

I didn’t realize Thirteen Reasons Why is going to be a mini-series. I thought it was just a regular movie. I like this idea better though – makes it easier to tell the full story. I need to re-read that one!

They’re making 13 Reasons Why into a mini-series? Bizarre. It’s a depressing YA that didn’t really compel me (something like Speak, I could see)…I wouldn’t want to watch Thirteen Reasons Why.
But #2! Wildwood Dancing was my introduction to Juliet Marillier, and I absolutely loved it. I hope you get to read it soon!
