Top Ten Best & Worst Movie Adaptations
The Hunger Games– I loved this take on one of my favorite books of the past 5 years. Plus, the anticipation for Catching Fire is RISING!
The Witches– by Roald Dahl. All you need to know is that it’s super cute, fairly accurate and Angelica Houston plays a witch. Freaking amazing.
The Princess Bride– I’ve read the book, which is hilarious and NOT what you think, and it’s just as good as the movie. The movie still wins in my book though, I mean, no one can top “As you wish.” Amirite?
Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2– I actually thought the whole twist ending was genius and sort of loved how everything went down.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower– Love, love, love, love. This movie was AMAZING and so like the book. I want to see every movie Emma Watson is in ever.
Eragon– For the like 10 of you who have seen this CG nightmare, please comment and agree how truly heinous this film was. The cool Sapphira is the only thing that saved bad acting and a low bduge.
Ella Enchanted– I adored the Cail Carson Levine novel. Although Anne Hathaway did a great job, the movie just wasn’t that good overall.
Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1– Back-breaking scene. Nuff said. Ok, one more thing – GROSS and UNNECESSARY!
The Host— I don’t even have the book to compare it to, but now…just no. It was just OK. I do like Saoirse Ronan though.
The Neverending Story— This movie is almost unrecognizable next to the book. And, I’ve read it. The book is strange and weird. I think I would like it better now. The movie is still amazing, but I just don’t get how they ever got to the same place from the book.
