Top Ten Bookish Confessions

dog earring books

Oh heck no!!

1I still love paper books even though I adore my Kindle- It’s true. I can’t help myself.

2I have never dog-eared a book- This is a reading sin. If you do this, may God save your soul.

3If nothing’s on hand, I use whatever flat object is nearby as a bookmark- The weirdest ones include my phone, receipts and even other, smaller books. Weird, I know.

4I want to read more classics but I never seem to manage it- This is because every time I turn around, there’s a long-awaited sequel being published or some other awesome YA read.

5At the time, I really did love Twilight- I’m not ashamed of this. I was really into it at the time, despite now being over it and despising K-Stew.

6I physically can’t read two books at once. - I wish I could – especially because some of you awesome readers out there can!!

7It’s a dream of mine to run a store that is simply a place to get away and read- like a quieter, comfier Starbucks.— Coffee and pie will be available, and there will be tons of super snuggly chairs, throw blankets and plenty of high-quality lighting.

8I’m working on how I can get paid to read all day.— I’ll keep you updated on my progress ;) . It’s gonna happen.

9I am really worried that J.K. Rowling’s new book is going to be terrible.— The cover is atrocious….and the subject matter sounds so unlike her. I’m just straight up scared.

10I say I’m over love triangles, but I just can’t quit them.- They always find a way to peak my interest. Ugh!

Please share some of your bookish confessions, so I don’t feel like a total weirdo!!

I love your #7! I think that’s such a cool idea. I know I wish there were places like that in my area, besides coffee places. Such a good way to kill time inbetween things.

Oh, great confessions! #2, #4 and #8 are all me, too, and #7 sounds like an amazing idea. I want to visit! Thanks for sharing!

I love this! I’m actually really reluctant to read JKR’s new book, too. Sometimes I love an author in one genre and not in any others…

Also, I would totally go to your dream store. :)

  • Liz @ Night Sky Reviews

I agree with pretty much all of these especially #9. I’m terrified :(

My bookish confession is that I am tempted to highlight or underline in almost every book I pick up. And I can’t when it comes to library books! I think this was somehow ingrained in me in high school and college, always read with a pen or pencil in hand.

Oh oh, me too! I love underlining things. hahaha. Do you have a Kindle? There you can highlight without fear! :)

Hahaha! It’s totally better than spending 10 minutes figuring out where you left off.

One, three and seven we have in common though they didn’t get mentioned on my own post where I mostly talk about my book hoarding. As for seven, I’m always telling my mom about the place we’re going to own just like that and be surrounded by books and yummy things.

We are seriously pen pal soulmates

All but #10. I would change it to *Greedy reader. House falls apart while reading a good book. I have even considered calling in for work just to continue. Bad bad bad. Then I’m upset that I finished so quickly and that I didn’t savor it longer!!!
