Top Ten Bookish People I Want to Meet

top ten bookish people I want to meet

[pinit]

1Jane Austen - She makes every list. I know it’s probably a boring answer by now, but it’s true. I mean, if you can think of up Mr. Darcy in your head, you’re someone I need to know.

2J.K. Rowling- Some of you lucky New Yorkers WILL get to meet J.K. when she comes to town this year. So jealous!!

3Lisa from Lisa Is Busy Nerding- Lisa is hilarious, has a great name (;) ) and is definitely a blogger I admire. Let’s have a nerdy game night together, please!

4Oscar Wilde- This guy, oh this guy. From all of the crazy quotes he’s known for alone, I feel like we could have been friends.

5Maggie Stiefvater- I just finished The Raven Boys, and I have to meet the mind behind all of the amazing stories and descriptions!

6J.R.R. Tolkien- Although he’s probably way too smart for me, I think we could have an intellectual conversation about faith, hobbits and life in general.

7Forever Young Adult Ladies— They’re creative, witty and straight up crazy, but I love the writers behind this amazing blog.

8Suzanne Collins— I really just want to sit down and talk about Mockingjay…and how things could have ended differently.

9C.S. Lewis— Maybe I could bundle my meeting of him and Tolkien together cuz they were real-life friends. I would ask Lewis life advice for sure.

10All the Hobbits- They could be like my own personal 7 dwarfs – acting cute and helping out around the house. This is more like me stealing them and taking them home with me than “meeting” really but it could work for me.

Is there a bookish person you wouldn’t want to meet (for me it’s Stephen King…too creepy)?

About Lisa Parkin

I'm a hardcore lover of young adult fiction and have been reviewing books since 2011. Other interests include Downton Abbey, heat lightning storms, Harry Potter land and (begrudingly) one orange tabby.

Tolkien is a great choice. I heard a poem he read aloud in Elvish (it’s on YouTube somewhere) and it’s fascinating. I’d love to have a conversation with the father of fantasy.

Jealous! Let’s all have a “meet Lisa” party. I’m thinking she should just go to BEA next year. That would solve all our problems!

I met Suzanne Collins! She did a book signing in my area when Mockingjay was released and while I didn’t get to discuss it with her, she was really nice!
