Top Ten Bookish Things I Am Thankful For

I’m thankful for so much in my life – I’ve got a lot of great people in it. I decided to list some of the bookish things I love and appreciate and couldn’t live without.

Top Ten Bookish Things I Am Thankful For

ya book club of orlando things i'm thankful for

1My book club– This group of crazies meets up once a month to talk about YA books (and sometimes not), our lives and Miley Cyrus. It has been one of the best things I’ve done this year. No lie.

2Blog readers– I don’t know why you do it, but for those of you who read my blog, THANK YOU!!! You’ll never know how grateful I am that you open your email or type in my blog URL. Even if you never comment, I SEE you!! Not in a creepy way, just in a Google Analytics and Feedblitz tracking way. YOU ARE AWESOME AND I LOVE YOU!!!

3Meeting new YA fanatics– Through Instagram, Twitter and other blogs I’ve met some pretty amazing readers and bloggers. I adore meeting new people, so please don’t be shy. I love gushing about all things YA, and another person whose ear I can talk off is welcome!

4Kindle deals– As you may have guessed, I read a lot. Which means, momma needs some discounts. I love finding awesome deals and freebies (hence this blog post series).

5Book mail– I wish there was a video of every time our door bell rings. Because it’s hilarious. I literally RUN at full speed to the door, peek out to make sure the FedEx guy is gone, then fling open the door to see what treasure from above was sent to my door. Then I Instagram it immediately. And, it’s usually the highlight of my day.

6Friends who read books I force them to recommend– When someone tells me that they not only listened to my book ramblings but actually read my book recommendation, it’s just a priceless feeling. Slowly converting the world to YA: one down, 6,999,999,999 to go…

7New authors who ROCK– This year has been a stellar one for new-to-me authors. Like Mindee Arnett, Sherry Thomas and Sarah Rees Brennan. What a win.

8Book to movie adaptions that don’t suck– Ender’s Game and Catching Fire, I’m looking at you. Plus, I didn’t think Mortal Instruments was that bad. It’s always nice when these things don’t totally bomb (ahem The Host).

9Goodreads– I don’t know what I would do without this site. I find SO MANY new books and see what other readers are up to. Plus, I love seeing the inspirational quotes and review rants.

10Holidays where I can read all day– This is what I live for. Doing nothing and reading all day. Also eating pie. If only every day was this blissful.

What are you thankful for – bookish or otherwise?

Blog readers is such a good one! I definitely don’t understand why so many people want my ramblings in their mailboxes, haha.

I’m totally going to try to convince my family we should spend the holiday reading >.> I’m bringing three books just in case 😀

Great list! I just recently watched The Host and I agree…not the best adaptation! All of your items are great choices!

I didn’t stick to completely bookish things, but here’s my TTT.
