Top Ten Books I Read Because Of Another Blogger

Top Ten Tuesday was created byΒ The Broke and the Bookish! You can join the fun too by hopping over to the site and checking out their post!

I really LOVE this week’s topic because I feel like I hear about so many books from all the awesome bloggers out there! In this post, I also included books I’m going to read because of other bloggers. The time that I hear about a book and then read it is awhile, and I often forget who told me about the book in the first place.

Yes, I’m 24 and already senile. Awesome.

NC at Truly Bookish

1Waterfall by Lisa T. Bergen- NC from Truly Bookish not only pointed me in the direction of this book, but she linked to the deal on Kindle! So, I got this book for FREE! How awesome is that?

2Nightshadeby Andrea Cremer- Ems at In Which Ems Reviews Books

3The Shattering by Karen Healey- Although I haven’t started reading this book yet, I recently won this book from a giveaway on Forever Young Adult. If you don’t follow this blog- you need to. RIGHT NOW! They are absolutely hysterical, and I’m obsessed with their blog!

4The Iron King by Julie Kagawa- I’d been following Mel from My World…in words and pages for awhile, when I finally read her review of The Iron King and decided to give the crazy world of the fey a try. P.S. I JUST found out about a new book from Maria V. Snyder because of Mel today. She’s so awesome!

5Remembrance by Michelle Madow- I just found out about this book Sunday from Lisa (what a fab name πŸ˜‰ ) at lisa’s busy nerding! It’s a retelling of Pride and Prejudice! YES! Lisa’s blog is hilarious and totally awesome, btw.

Ok, at this point my brain is totally fuzzing out. I will now just list blogs that I follow regularly and find out about many, many cool books:

About Lisa Parkin

I'm a hardcore lover of young adult fiction and have been reviewing books since 2011. Other interests include Downton Abbey, heat lightning storms, Harry Potter land and (begrudingly) one orange tabby.

I loved this week’s theme! It’s so great to acknowledge all the titles I would have never looked at if it hadn’t been for blogger recommendations. The blogosphere is a great resource, isn’t it?!

    • It really is! Most of the new books I’ve read have been recommendations from other bloggers.

  • Natalie Spaan

Woo!! Nightshade was one of my favorite books this year. I’m desperately waiting on either my first paycheck or my library to finally check my material purchase request before I can pick up Wolfsbane. I hate waiting! I must have more!

Thanks for the other recs too. I love finding new books and new blogs!

    • Yes, Ems! I seriously devoured it!! Do you have a Kindle? If so, I think I can like let you “borrow” a book…like Wolfsbane! πŸ˜€

Ooh! I have the Kindle app on my laptop…does that count?

  • Ha ha! My brain fizzled with this one too. Thank goodness for Shelfari! I ended up listing books I want to read because of other bloggers as well as the ones I’ve already read because I didn’t have ten.
