Top Ten Books I've Read So Far In 2013

I love this topic and I’m planning on expanding it a bit in a future now. For now, please enjoy my picks for best books of the year (so far). I found myself being much harder on books this year vs. years past. Maybe it’s because I’m reading way more than I used to? If you feel the same way, please let me know I”m not crazy. Kthanksbye.

Top Ten Books I’ve Read So Far in 2013

siege and storm by leigh bardugo

1Crown of Midnight– OH MY GOSH, you guys! I just finished it, and I’m not sure if I loved it just as much or MORE than Throne of Glass. Freaking amazing.

2Siege and Storm– This book tore my heart out, but I let it because it’s beautiful and awesome and I love all the characters.

3The Fault in Our Stars– Technically, this book was published last year, but I just read it last month. Again, tore my heart out but I loved every minute!

4The 5th Wave– Psychological. Action-packed. Twists and turns. Brilliant.

5Pivot Point– This is by far the most unique premise for a book I’ve seen in awhile. Very well done with a fantastic ending.

6The Sweetest Dark– This book is so different from the rest in that it’s deeply lyrical and romantic while set in an alternative World War I.

7Cinders & Sapphires– A YA version of Downton Abbey. It’s legal crack. I just hope season 4 of the actual show doesn’t suck…

8Dark Triumph– Sybella kicked butt in this book, and I loved her perspective in this sequel. I can’t wait for more from this series!

9Requiem— Ok, so….mixed feelings all around, BUT I did enjoy finally reading this series conclusion. The ending…ehhhhhhh.

10City of a Thousand Dolls— Fun new fantasy series with CATS!

What was the ALL TIME BEST book you read so far this year?

About Lisa Parkin

I'm a hardcore lover of young adult fiction and have been reviewing books since 2011. Other interests include Downton Abbey, heat lightning storms, Harry Potter land and (begrudingly) one orange tabby.
  • Great list! I’m hoping to read nearly all of those. 🙂 I read The Fault in Our Stars last year and absolutely loved it.

    Happy Top 10 Tuesday!

Dark Triumph and Siege and Storm both made my list. Excellent books. I LOVED The Sweetest Dark – the sequel is just as good, IMO! I own The 5th Wave and Pivot Point…I’ll get to them this year sometime.

    Great list!

I loved The Fault in Our Stars. I keep hearing about Siege and Storm, and Sweetest Dark sounds great.

  • Fantastic list! All of these apart from the John Green are either already on my TBR pile or they’re on my wishlist. I read The Fault In Our Stars last year and it’s still stuck in my head.

    My Top 10 Tuesday!
