Top Ten Most Anticipated Books of 2013

I just got myself in serious trouble – I found WAY too many books that qualify for my most anticipated books of 2013. I found a Goodreads listopia that has 600+ books.

It lists ALL THE BOOKS!! I’m excited and overwhelmed, but ultimately, I think 2013 is going to be a baller year for YA readers.

requiem lauren oliver most anticipated books of 2013

1Divergent #3– I can’t even believe this book release date is UPON US! There’s no title or pub date, but I’m not letting that stop my from getting insanely stoked.

2Requiem by Lauren Oliver– This big-face-covered book will be out March 5. People are going to be going nuts over this book I know.

3Unravel Me by Tahereh Mafi– I’m fortunate to have this ARC with my RIGHT NOW, and I’m dying to dig in!!

4Shadowlark by Meagan Spooner– I couldn’t get over how muchSkylark impressed me. What an awesome start to a series

5Asunder by Jodi Meadows– Another book that’s ready and waiting for me. I LOVED LOVED LOVED Incarnate. It’s original and romantic and sci-fi-ish. Amazing!!

6Through the Ever Night by Veronica Rossi– I’m honestly losing the ability to type coherently about these books because I”m so exciteddddddd!!

7Seige and Storm by Leigh Bardugo— Phew, after the whirlwind that was Shadow and Bone, I’m very interested to see how this next book goes. Hrmmmm.

8The Bitter Kingdom by Rae Carson— AHHH! I can’t even help myself. What are these publishers doing to us!?!

9Etiquette and Espionage by Gail Carriger– Finally, here’s a debut novel I’m excited about. The first line of the description is: “It’s one thing to learn to curtsy properly. It’s quite another to learn to curtsy and throw a knife at the same time. Welcome to finishing school.” BOOM. HOOKED.

10Raven Cycle #2– I’m so glad we dont’ have to wait too long for another book from Maggie Steifvater. She’s a writing fiend!

Of course, I have to ask. What are your most anticipated books of 2013?

About Lisa Parkin

I'm a hardcore lover of young adult fiction and have been reviewing books since 2011. Other interests include Downton Abbey, heat lightning storms, Harry Potter land and (begrudingly) one orange tabby.
  • I want to read all of the above! Hadn’t seen Etiquette & Espionage before — sounds sooo good!

  • Amanda Herman

The Selection’s Book 2 – whatever the title will be. By Kiera Cass.

  • I’m looking forward to Carriger’s new series too.

  • Great list. So many good reads coming up this year.

  • I’m excited for a lot of the sequels you mentioned, but most especially for the third book in the Divergent series. I’ve loved that series since the start, and I can’t believe it’s almost at an end! I’m sure Veronica will do a great job wrapping things up – and well, we’ll get more time with Four 😉

  • Ems

I’m excited for most of these too! 2013 is shaping up to be a great year for reading. 🙂

  • Ash of Typing Tiara

I’m excited for Unravel Me too. :]
