Top Ten Tuesday: Books on My Fall TBR List

Blog Update: I just added a Best Books of 2011 tab at the top of the blog. It features my fave books of 2011 so far!

Phew- this was a hard list to compile. There are a ridiculous number of books I’m dying to read this fall. The books I’ve listed below are just a few:

1Inheritance by Christopher Paolini- I’ve been waiting for a conclusion to this series since I started reading it in high school (that was 6 years ago…). I’m so excited to see how Paolini is going to wrap up this great series.

2The Iron Knight by Julie Kagawa- Although I still need to read The Iron Queen, I can’t wait to read this book! It’s taunting me from my NetGalley as we speak…

3Blood Spirits by Sherwood Smith- I read and adored Coronets and Steel by Smith and was left with a truly painful cliffhanger. I’m dying to get my hands on this book! If you love romantic fantasy-lite books with a sprinkling of history, this is your series.

4Legend by Marie Lu- I apparently cannot not rest until I’ve read every dystopian novel published this year. It does sound really, really good, and I just can’t help myself!

5Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi- This book sounds so unique. I don’t say this often, but I have a really strong feeling its going to book love at first sight!

6The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater- This book seems like selkies meet The Hunger Games. And, I’m not complainin’.

7The Pledge by Kimberly Derting- So dark…literally. The cover is of a girl in a black velvet hoodie on a black background. I love the combo of a caste-type society mixed with rebel causes.

8A Beautiful Dark by Jocelyn Davies- I’m willing to take a calculated risk with angels again in this book. The premise really got me!

9The Girl of Fire and Thorns by Rae Carson- Despite a cover redesign that I don’t like at all, I’m still super excited about this princess/politics-type novel.

10Crave by Melissa Darnell- I love the cover of this book, and its interesting spin on vampires and supernatural powers.

About Lisa Parkin

I'm a hardcore lover of young adult fiction and have been reviewing books since 2011. Other interests include Downton Abbey, heat lightning storms, Harry Potter land and (begrudingly) one orange tabby.
  • Some great books listed here

Yara @ Once Upon a Twilight!

  • I want to read a lot of the books on your list too. Sadly, they don’t make it for this year, though. 🙁

  • Daisy de Bruin

I loved Sherwood Smith’s Crown and Court Duel! So Coronet and Steel are another addition to my TBR list 🙂 I didn’t even know about it, glad to see it on your list!
I have the Girl of Fire and Thorns coming up soonish, it sounds SO GOOD!
Thanks for stopping by @ the Broke and the Bookish!

    • I really, really liked Coronets and Steel! I think it’s some of Smith’s best work, so I hope you enjoy it!! 🙂 And, yes, The Girl of Fire and Thorns sounds a-mazing!!!! 🙂

  • Truly Bookish

Almost all these books are on my TBR list as well. I have a crazy amount of books that I want to finish by the end on this year and I just don’t see how I can since I can’t finish more than 2 books a week. I also told myself I would not request anything else from NetGalley until I got through at least half of what I have waiting for me there now. I requested Blood Rights yesterday. I have no self control…..
