Traveling in Books

As I’m away on vacation, I thought I’d we could talk about your favorite foreign places to read about in books.

They could be fantasy world lands or real lands.

Locations that I love to read about:

  • New York (Every other book out there)
  • Hogwarts/Ministry of Magic (Harry Potter)
  • Europe- (Coronets and Steel)
  • Prince Edward’s Island (Anne of Green Gables)
  • Forks (Twilight)

What have been your favorite fantastical or real world places to read about?

About Lisa Parkin

I'm a hardcore lover of young adult fiction and have been reviewing books since 2011. Other interests include Downton Abbey, heat lightning storms, Harry Potter land and (begrudingly) one orange tabby.
  • I’d love to visit Hogwarts 🙂 but I would more than happily settle for New york! 🙂

    Enjoy your holiday

  • I love going to New York after reading so many books set there! And I dream of visiting Hogwarts, Prince Edward Island, & Forks…also, post-Civil War northeastern America (Little Women) and England during the time of Pride & Prejudice (love the dancing & cute fashion in both!). 🙂 Hope you guys are loving Italy!!

  • Forks of course!!! Oh what I would give to live there… 😉
I love New York as well! Especially chick lit books set in the big apple! I love Lauren Weisberger! 😀 Coincidentally, I just wrote a big post on my trip to NYC in 2009! 😛
Oh and don’t forget about Panem! 😉
And I love Nicholas Sparks’ beautiful North Carolina small towns! 😀

  • I love your question! :)…I totally agree with you about Hogwarts and I dream of going to Prince Edward Island! I would also have to add MiddleEarth from Lord of the Rings and Victorian England. Thanks for sharing…have a great vacation!

  • Oh I would love to go to Hogwarts! lol. And to travel in by way of the horses… oh, I forget what they are called. The ones only people touched by death can see. Oh, I hate that when the mind goes on you. But it would definitely be a site to see!
