Description: “Even angels make mistakes in this page-turning epic romance…

When her parents are murdered before her eyes, sixteen-year-old Helen Cartwright finds herself launched into an underground London where a mysterious organization called the Dictata controls the balance of good and evil. Helen learns that she is one of three remaining angelic descendants charged with protecting the world’s past, present, and future. Unbeknownst to her, she has been trained her whole life to accept this responsibility. Now, as she finds herself torn between the angelic brothers protecting her and the devastatingly handsome childhood friend who wants to destroy her, she must prepare to be brave, to be hunted, and above all to be strong, because temptation will be hard to resist, even for an angel.

Michelle Zink masterfully weaves historical fantasy with paranormal romance to create a gripping tale of love and betrayal.”

Why I’m Stoked: I’ve only really read one angel-type book (Archangel), which I loved, so I’m anxious to take on another! I love the combo of action and romance in this novel. It seems refreshing and new. Love it!

Are you waiting on any angel-ish books, like A Temptation of Angels?

About Lisa Parkin

I'm a hardcore lover of young adult fiction and have been reviewing books since 2011. Other interests include Downton Abbey, heat lightning storms, Harry Potter land and (begrudingly) one orange tabby.
  • This sounds really good! I just finished Unearthly by Cynthia Hand, and I cannot WAIT for Hallowed: An Unearthly Novel to come out on the 17th of this month. I was a little apprehensive to try an angel-type book but it had good reviews, and was 99 cents (for Kindle), so I figured why not? I ended up loving it! I believe it’s a planned trilogy. Now it’s gotten me interested in this angel genre.

  • Ooo, this does sound good. I heard good things about her last book, and this one sounds very good too. Hope you get and enjoy it. 🙂
